Beliefs

We believe Jesus is the center of our life, and the Savior of all people that believe.

• Jesus is the light of the world

John 8:12 says Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

• We believe God created everything, and is in absolute power and control. That through the deception of Satan, and the actions of man sin entered the world. Yet God by His glorious grace and mercy overlooked it forgiving our sin through the avenue of personal sacrifice. He sent His own son to live, die, and rise again to blot out and cover our sins by the shedding of His Holy Blood on the cross. 

Colossians 1:16-20  

For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;

And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.

• We came to the conclusion by faith, and the writings on the scriptures that God loves the world.  His goal is to help by leading people to walk, and live by faith granting us new life.

John 3:16-18  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 

2 Corinthians 5:7-9  

For we walk by faith, not by sight:

We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him.

• We know that God's promises are not void, and that whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord will be saved. 

Isaiah 55:11  

So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. 

Romans 1:9-13  

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

• We hold to the truth that full immersion water baptism is an act of obedience of our faith; which symbolizes the death, burial, and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.  We do this to celebrate our new life in Christ granted to us by salvation.

Romans 6:4  Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. 

We act our belief by welcoming all through the commission charged to us by our Lord Jesus Christ.

Matthew 28:18-20  

And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
